KOMAX submersible motors are free from defects in material and workmanship, and every motor leaves the factory with its own quality test certificate.

Warranty terms & conditions

When the warranty applies.

Motor warranty shall be one (1) year from the date of manufacturing. This warranty is valid provided that:

The KOMAX submersible motor was purchased from an authorised dealer and the warranty period has not expired.
The motor has not been damaged by getting stuck in the borehole, carelessness, fire, accident or any external damage, muddy water or sand.
The motor has not been installed or repaired by an unauthorised installer or service centre.
The serial number of the motor has not been altered or removed.
The original warranty card has not been misplaced and no changes have been made to its wording.

Costs

Borne by the customer

The warranty covers the motor itself. The customer bears all associated costs of:

ExtractionPulling the motor out of the borehole
TransportationTo and from the KOMAX service centre
Re-installationLowering and reconnecting the motor

Cautions for safe operation

Protect the motor and the warranty.

Use protection devices

Do not start the motor without protection devices, on an improper power supply, during voltage fluctuations or if the borehole runs dry.

380–415 V supply

Ensure 380–415 V line voltage. Use a properly sized, good-quality starter or inverter, submersible cable, cable joint and protective devices.

Authorised installers

KOMAX submersible motors should always be installed by authorised and trained personnel.

Proper earthing

Proper earthing of the borehole and motor is necessary to avoid electric shock.

Motor serial number identification

Read the date of manufacture from the serial number.
